Oxygen Mask

By Dave Lyman | June 17, 2008

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. - Deut. 6:4-7

We are taught on airplanes that if the oxygen mask drops down, we need to first put on our mask and then assist our children with theirs.  The concept is clear, if you are not breathing the oxygen, you will be in no condition to assist your child.

Parents, you need to first make sure that you have established a strong relationship with Jesus as Lord.  If you do not have a relationship with God, you will be in no condition to help your child.  Get that right first and then you need to impress it upon your children!
